Ambassadors:

The Ambassador program is sponsored by Mrs. Julie Kizer. The Ambassadors represent JCA at school functions and provide service such as tutoring to JCA students.

Athletes for Christ:

Athletes for Christ is sponsored by our Athletic Director, Darrell Smith. Athletes for Christ is an organization that seeks to strengthen students relationship with Christ and each other. They seek to be examples for Christ and their classmates through integrity, service, teamwork and pursuit of excellence on and off the field.

Book Club:

The JCA Book Club is sponsored by Mr. Gordon Pugh and Mrs. Rhonda Kaletski. The club goes beyond the classroom reading list and meets each month to discuss the literature they have read.

Chess Club:

The Chess Club is sponsored by Mrs. Peggy Baxter. The club is designed for students who want to play chess or learn how to play chess.

Christ-Formation:

Christ-Formation is sponsored by Mr. Tony Edwards. The purpose of Christ-Formation is to help students develop Christian characteristics in their daily lives through singing, prayer, scripture reading and service projects.

Drama Club:

The JCA Drama Club is sponsored by Mrs. Ruth Brooks. The club helps decide the school’s future school plays and musicals, designs and builds sets, and performs one-act plays for the student body.

Habitat for Humanity:

Habitat for Humanity is sponsored by Mr. Chad Hudelson. Habitat is a student-led organization that will help raise money for Habitat for Humanity and hopefully participate in Saturday builds.

Key Club:

The Key Club is sponsored by Mrs. Tracie Hurst. Key Club is an international student-led organization which provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character and develop leadership.

Middle School Science Olympiad:

Science Olympiad is sponsored by Ms. Dianna Hunter. The Science Olympiad is a national nonprofit organization devoted to improving the quality of science education, increasing student interest in science, and providing recognition for outstanding achievement in science education by both students and teachers through competition.

National Honor Society and National Juniors Honor Society:

The NHS and NJHS is sponsored by Mrs. Julie Kizer. The National Honor Society seeks to create enthusiasm for academic achievement, to stimulate a desire for service, to promote leadership and to develop character in students.

Pep Club:

The Pep Club is sponsored by Mrs. Suzanne Monosky. Pep Club helps increase student spirit among the students by making signs, organizing pep rallies and student sections at home athletic events.

Scholars Bowl:

The Scholars Bowl team is sponsored by Mrs. Ruth Brooks. Scholars Bowl is a group of JCA students who compete in academic competitions around the state of Alabama.

Science Club:

The Science Club is sponsored by Ms. Dianna Hunter. The club is designed for students who love Science and want to go beyond what they are learning in the classroom. Students will participate in projects such as building a Rube Goldberb machine or solar oven.

Student Government Association:

The JCA Student Government is sponsored by Mrs. Julie Kizer and Mr. Chad Hudelson. SGA gives students a voice in the school, plans activities and provides leadership opportunities for students.

Wildlife Unlimited:

Wildlife Unlimited is sponsored by Ms. Dianna Hunter. Wildlife Unlimited learns about preserving the environment through projects such as “Adopt a Mile” or “Adopt a Stream.”
